Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology Visits ISTT

Dr. Mansour Gholami, the newly appointed Minister of Science, Research and Technology visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town on the 30^th of November, 2017. For this visit he was accompanied by his deputy for Research and Technology, Dr. Masoud Boroomand. This visit was organized to offer an in person introduction to the role and effect ISTT plays on the development of the innovative ecosystem and in the creation of new jobs, most influential to the Nation’s economy. For this purpose the minister and deputy minister met with the management team at ISTT and took a tour of its ground. On this tour the management team explained the functionality of each segment of the science and technology town and how it has helped in the fostering and nurturing of newly established SME’s at each stage of the Incubation and Park process.

The minister also participated in the unveiling of three new knowledge-based technologies developed by the SME’s settled at ISTT. These new technologies included the Integro and Isimplex Vacuum Therapy Machines from Vac Care Paya Co. and also Menzem Fluoride by Rasa Tech Co.

After the unveiling ceremony and several discussions with the CEOs of the k-based companies, the minister went on to promise that with the help of ISTTs president, Dr. Mehdi Keshmiri he will try his utmost best to decrease the amount of imported k-based goods that are already domestically produced and have the potential to increase the nation’s manufacturing independence.
